1. | LAST TRAIN TO DEMISE Kristian Digby (Devon) This tender and sympathetic story tells of the effect the news that Jade (Emma Ashton), a young writer, is dying from a form of leukaemia has on her boyfriend Ben (Craig Mitchell) and her circle of friends, and how they cope. One of the great things about the handling of this story is that it is never mawkish or sentimentalised. Guernsey Lily, Best Editing Award 1996; IAC International Award, Best Youth Award 1996 |
