The 2014 competition is now open
for entries - closing date 31st January 2014. Films must be received by
the Competition Manager by this date.

March.

shown at BIAFF 2014 the British International Amateur Film
Festival which will take place on 11th-13th April 2014 at the
Park Inn Hotel, Bedford.
Briefly ...
- The competition accepts entries of any length, on any

- Every entry is given a written critique by the judges.
- The entry fee depends on length of movie, number of entries
and on whether you are an IAC member or not. It ranges from £8
for a one-minute film by an IAC member to £25 for a film of
more than 60 minutes length by a non-member. BUT
- there is a £2 discount for entries received
before 20th December 2014
- AND a further £2 discount for on-line
entries.
- Pay by cheque or for online entries use PayPal
credit card payments. Please note, there is a 5% surcharge for Paypal.
-
Young film-makers aged either under 16 or between 16 and 18
years have a choice of two types of entry. They can compete in
the main competition and be judged against older competitors
on an equal basis. Or they can enter a special competition designed to
encourage younger film-makers. In this case, no specific
grading will be awarded, but an educational critique will be
provided for each entry and a trophy will be awarded for the
best film in each age group.
The overall awards for Best Under 16, Best 16-21 and Best
British Young Film-maker will be selected from the winners of
both competitions.
