IAC VIDEO LIBRARY - CONDITIONS OF HIRE
|1.||METHOD OF BOOKING
Email the librarian with the title of the film or collection, the date required and your address. On receipt of this, the librarian will check which of the movie/s you request are available for the date/s required and send you a Booking Confirmation complete with details of the cost. Bear in mind that your first choice of movie/s may not be available for the date/s you require, so please list alternative titles if you can.
|2.||SPECIAL SERVICE BOOKINGS AND ADVICE SERVICES
Please give as much notice as possible. The library service is operated by a volunteer who sometimes has holidays or other commitments. In an emergency the librarian will try to provide videos urgently to suit your requirements. He may be able to advise suitable choices. Given plenty of notice he may be able to assemble special compilation tapes to suit your requirements.Please ask.
Most recent tapes and discs are compilations running 70 - 90 minutes and normally charged at £7.50 plus post and packing. Other hire fees are indicated in the catalogue. The charges quoted are for one day's hire, extra consecutive days are charged at a daily rate of half the basic hire charge. Hirers pay the cost of transit both ways. A few collections are free to hire, but the post and packing must still be paid for.
|4.||DESPATCH TO HIRERS
Items will be despatched by letter post, allowing ample time for delivery. The current charge is £3.00 per library item for UK hirers.
|5.||RETURN OF TAPES / DISCS
Items must be returned to the librarian by letter post ON THE WORKING DAY FOLLOWING TERMINATION OF THE HIRE PERIOD. Failure to comply will result in excess hire charges being made. Please send an email confirmation promptly to the librarian when the item has neen sent, so that if the video is delayed in the post, we are aware of the situation and excess hire charge will not be incurred.
Each outgoing package will contain an invoice, which will included the post and packing charge. Payment should be returned to the librarian at the same time as the items are returned.
Hirers use the IAC Library on the understanding that they agree to reimburse the IAC for any expenditure necessary to repair or replace any item damaged whilst in the hirer's hands. Items are carefully checked by the librarian between each hiring.
All material in the IAC Library is covered by the law of Copyright. NO FILM MAY BE COPIED IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
