Festival: 29th May - 6th June 2012 (last date is the awards night)
If you're a film-maker, the Rob Knox Film Festival could be your chance to
show your work to the world. If successful, your film could be screened at
Cineworld in Bexleyheath on 6 June 2012 and at number of other locations
throughout the London Borough of Bexley. Along with film previews there will
be a range of free or low cost film related workshops and question and answer
sessions with industry experts.
Rob Knox was a successful young actor who was tragically murdered in Sidcup
in May 2008. The Rob Knox Film Festival was organised in his memory by the
London Borough of Bexley in partnership with The Rob Knox Foundation, Cineworld,
Rose Bruford College, St Catherine's Catholic School for Girls and Pointless
Taxi Productions.
The festival reflects the aims of the Rob Knox Foundation to support the
education of young people in school in the area of citizenship, respect and
street violence awareness and to support young people in the area of drama.
It is free to enter and open to all. Films of all lengths and genres will
be considered by the judging panel. Send DVDs only - they will not
be returned.
Awards will be given in the following categories:

Best Director

Best Screenplay

Best Actor

Best Actress
-
Best 99% film (The film that does the most to raise the profile of a young
person.)

Best Community Film (A film about a social issue that has an educational
use in the wider community.)

Best film under five minutes long
