Because of the length of this film it is the only one on this selection. Addict is a dark psychological drama with a clever audio/video diary structure. Paul Anthony acts well to capture the complex nature of a difficult role. The 'addiction' element creates the need for a build up of repetitive action of sex and violence which some viewers might think borders on the gratuitous. Those who enjoy such films will appreciate Geoff's skill although it will probably not be appreciated by most club audiences.
