UNICA 2010

Unofficially this is known as Max's Fling ... Max Hänsli stepped down as UNICA's long-serving President at the Assembly in 2009 and is throwing his amazing energy and enthusiasm into making this event on his home turf something truly special. Einsiedeln is a small town built round a monastery, the Benedictine Abbey. The abbey and its black Madonna is an important place of pilgrimage for Roman Catholics and the town is a popular tourist destination. It enjoys fine views and clean air.

The there is no large hotel complex but a number of smaller two- and three-star hotels which are family run. UNICA delegates will enjoy special rates in those hotels which are all within a few minutes walk from the DorfCentrum where the festival will take place. Booking should be made through the UNICA organising team, which proved so efficient and reassuring when handling bookings for UNICA Korea and UNICA Tunisia.

From the United Kingdom the simplest way to get there is to fly to Zurich, then take the efficient Swiss railway service to Einsiedeln, changing at Wädenswil. The train journey is just over an hour and costs about £13 single.
