Lee Prescott of Cotswold Video Camera Club edits SoCo News - the magazine
of IAC's Southern Counties region - and runs the Cotswold International Film
& Video Festival. Here he introduces "the forgotten side of
movie-making."
To Get Ahead - Think Ahead When you decide to make a motion picture a deal of planning is necessary. This should not only include visuals but also all aspects of sound. Sound is an integral part of a movie. In amateur productions sound often seems to be considered an "also ran". This is NOT so even if you are making a holiday, baby-on-the-lawn or family movie. Whether a motion picture is shot on a story basis, an event basis, a documentary basis or "off the cuff": planning is essential.
