Kent Film Festival On 6th June SERIAC hosted An audience with Michael Gough at the Tonbridge Oast Theatre.
We were delighted to be able to present a day of exploration into what makes a good video, and watch films that have won Michael acclaim over the years. Michael is a Fellow of the IAC. He also holds the title of Master Moviemaker. He started filming on Super 8mm in the 60s and his films include fiction, animation, newsreel and travel documentaries which have won many major awards including the Movie Maker Ten Best Competition and the IAC British International Amateur Film Festival. Michael Gough FACI(M) is a member of the Newcastle club. He is an IAC Council member, an award winning film maker and a widely respected judge. He was a member of the jury at UNICA 2008 held in Hammamet, Tunisia. The day was a total success and enjoyed by all. The Oast again proved to be an ideal venue. Comfortable racked seating, a dining area and bar, and the two refreshment breaks and lunch included in the cost of the ticket offered excellent value for money. Question time at the end of the day was extended as so many members of the audience wished to enquire about aspects of Michaels film techniques.
If you missed the day why not go to one of the following pages to see how
some of his films were made:
