CINE WINNERS : IAC 1988

CINE is short for the Council on International Non-theatrical Events. This American organisation has introduced specially selected films and videos to scores of international events where they have brought honour to the United States and to their makers. Each year juries across the whole of America choose the CINE Golden Eagles (professional films) and CINE Eagles (amateur films) from more than 700 entries.

The story of a family's attempt to make sense of the strange incident that surrounds one particular Mardi Gras in rural Louisiana. It was made at the University of S. California's School of Cinema-Television from a screenplay by Ian Kowell, who also co-edited the film with Jeffrey Fine. A 1987 CINE Eagle Film, with original music by Jonathan Baker.
