IAC VIDEO SELECTION 1985

The London International Amateur Film Festival (LIAFF) was held March 1-3, 1985, at the Mount Royal Hotel, Marble Arch, London. This was the last annual competition in which videos were judged separately.

1. LIFE AND DEATH

Tommy Keys stars in a pop video of Susannah by the Art Company, with Breidge O'Donnel in the title role. Superb editing by Joe Nicholas.

3. HOW KING LEAR ATE THE SCENERY

When an actor 'of many years' standing' (Malcolm Wilson) calls at the Theatrical Agency of Harry Titterman (Reg Griffiths) he is handed a part in the latest 'spectacular' being staged by Joe Clappernut (Tom Lack).

4. FOR GRANDMA
Dr. David Whittet (Herts)
The complex relationship between young and old is seen through the eyes of grandma (Winifred Butler) and her grandson (Paul Ambrose Hogan). The performances are so convincing that it is hard to believe that these two players are from a local theatre group and not real people playing themselves.
