BIAFF 2000 Awards Selection 2

A further selection of assorted award-winners in the 2000 IAC International Film and Video Competition, premiered at movie 2000, held March 24-26, 2000, in Buxton, Derbyshire.

1. DIE MOLDAU (THE RIVER MOLDAU)
Bernard Hausberger & Alfred Oberkofler (Austria)
This is a visually beautiful movie about the river of the title (which also inspired the Czech composer, Smetana), as it starts as a stream and develops until it finally reaches, and flows into, the Danube. The music and the movie also reflect aspects of Czech life and history through the ages. Well cut to the music, this is a very attractive movie.
