SOCO REGIONAL COMPETITION 2011 |

| The Chippenham Movie & Video Club played host to the 2011 SoCo
Competition, on Tuesday 18th October. A score of enthusiasts attended
the event,staged at the Club Room, and Ron Prosser, IAC Chairman, presided.
Seven of the prize winning Videos were shown on the Club's wide screen, which
portrayed them to best advantage. The overall winner, Susie the Spider, was
deemed by all present to be well worthy of the award. In the interval there was
a "Lucky Programme" raffle, and refreshments were available from the ladies
of the Club (or from the adjoining Bar!) Ron Prosser presented the awards to
those competitors who were present, and also gave a Certificate from the IAC
to the Chairman of the Chippenham Club, John Hutchings, to celebrate the Club's
50th Anniversary. A most enjoyable and memorable evening.
The Awards were as follows: Runner-Up - Transiting the Panama Canal by Tony and Eileen Colburn Best Club Entry - Stanway Watermill-How It Works by Tewkesbury YMCA Video Camera Club Novice Award - Transiting the Panama Canal by Tony and Eileen Colburn Best Travelogue - Transiting the Panama Canal by Tony and Eileen Colburn Best Drama - A Business Lesson by Steve Longhurst Best Use of Sound - Ireland 1963 by Lee Prescott FACI Best Editing - A Business Lesson by Steve Longhurst
