Takes place in even numbered years, the dates and arrangements are usually similar. As at mid-January 2012 there was no information available.

Held every second year (even numbered years) in Liptovsky Mikulas, Slovakia.

Films up to 20 minutes long on VHS, S-VHS, mini DV or DVD. Only one movie per tape/disc. Please label cassettes and cases carefully. Competitors are divided into three groups: A -over 25 years, B- under 25 years and C- up to 18 years and should have been completed not more than three years ago.

There is no entry fee, but if you wish your film returned you must send 10 euros.

Festival themes:

1. Culture and monuments
   Movies presenting cultural history and cultural monuments in general, especially folk culture, arts and crafts, architecture, folk customs and folklore, profiles of artisans, etc.
2. Environment formation and protection
   Movies presenting the beauty of nature and creation, the conservation of countryside (protected fauna and flora) and environment - water, soil, air, greenery and their utilisation (including waste as a source of recycled raw materials.)
3. Contemporary way of living
   Movies, which ethnographically present the contemporary life style of people of various age and social groups living in a variety of environments (settlements, villages, towns, cities).

Part of the festival screening will be a seminar on analytical evaluation. Film-makers registered for the competition whose work has passed the preselection can take part in the event with their accommodation expenses covered by the organisers (1 film-1 film maker). For personal attendance competitors pay 15 euros or if they are under 18 years 10 euros. Anyone else can attend at their own expense.

Film makers from outside Slovakia are asked to send a transcription of the commentary to their movie on paper or floppy disk. Transcripts may also be sent by e-mail to: skoludova@nocka.sk
