Ned Cordery writes about American International Film and Video Festival ran by the American Motion Picture Society... AMPS - This is the acronym for the American Motion Picture Society - of which I am now the President. For 75 years AMPS and its predecessors have run the American International Film and Video (added later) Festival. This Festival is open to non-commercial films/videos with a running time up to 15 minutes. This year we are still restricted to NTSC entries but we are working on how we can handle PAL entries and payment of the small entry fees in currencies other than USD. We now have a dedicated Website in the early stages of development but please add to your favourites: www.ampsvideo.com where you can find out about us and the Festival. The restructuring of AMPS has involved many people, obviously mostly on this side (USA) of the Atlantic but I want to acknowledge the contribution of Dave Watterson who helped with advice and suggestions, Lee Prescott who helped with advice and how to handle the small payments in USD, to Mal Whiteley and Tom Hardwick who sent us PAL DVDs and VCds for testing. Thanks and we look forward to your support, - Ned Cordery Page updated on 14 February 2008 Authors' views are not necessarily those of The Institute of Amateur Cinematographers Free JavaScripts provided
