Something about us: Selby Camera Club was founded 130 years ago in 1887. Initially it was known as Selby Photographic Society but after a few years it changed its name to Selby Camera Club. The Club is a member of the Yorkshire Photographic Union (a society comprising most Yorkshire camera clubs) and affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain.
The Club currently has just under 50 members. Membership currently costs £50 per year for a single person or £75 for a married couple. This works out at less than £1.60 per meeting.
Club nights include guest speakers, competitions, demonstrations and members’ presentations, in addition members can attend workshops and practical outings that are arranged throughout the year. Details of our Thursday meetings can be found in our Programme and, if you are considering joining, you can attend 2 meetings free before deciding whether to join.
