Overall winner in the 2004 Cotswold International Film & Video Festival is Cake by distinguished Italian moviemaker, Rolf Mandolesi. The film deals with how a dying man perceives his greedy relatives.

Rolf Mandolesi  I Just Knew  Knock, Knock

In the amateur section top award goes to Phil Martin for the one-minute gem, I Just Knew, second prize to Altrincham Video Society for their comic drama A Thin Line and third comes Frank Dietrich's A-wiwiwi.

PSA Gold MedalAmong the special prizes the Festival Oscar goes to Ken Wilson's new comedy Knock, Knock, the acting prize to Frank Smith in Missing Alice, best editing trophy is for Horst Orlich's Magic Times. Michael Slowe receives the Photographic Society of America gold medal for his stunning photography in On Silk and Daphne Brown gets the Jessops Award for the excellent work in her Land Below the Wind.

Young Swiss moviemaker Filippo Lubiato takes the Sound award for Amazing Grace - The Hunt for the Miracle. Kay Bamford-Burnell gets a special award for her Galapagos Wildlife. Joshua Perrin, aged 9, takes the Young Person's prize with The Sword, The Stone and the Dragon.

One Day at a TimeThe Cotswold Festival offers a prize for a movie which best reflects the character of British life. This year there was no hesitation in awarding that to Malcolm Whiteley for the courageous and uplifting tale of his battle with cancer, One Day at aTime.

The festival itself has two shows. Some of the winners were shown on Friday 3rd September. The other winner show and the Gala Awards Ceremony were on Saturday 4th September.
